At Caremark Barking and Dagenham, we are thrilled to announce that our very own Nitu and Sarmanjeet have been selected as finalists for The Incredibles Award. This prestigious award will be presented on November 22nd, 2024, at the renowned Fortnum & Mason in London. We wish them both the best of luck as they prepare for this exciting event. Regardless of the outcome, they are already winners. Being selected from over 5,000 Caremark carers nationwide is a phenomenal achievement, and it speaks volumes about the exceptional care that Caremark Barking and Dagenham represents.
What makes their nomination particularly remarkable is that this is the first time two carers from the same branch have been selected. Nitu and Sarmanjeet’s dedication and teamwork make this a historic moment for our branch.
Nitu: A Heartfelt Carer with a Passion for Helping Others
Nitu’s journey into care began in India, where she supported her community for several years. Her passion for making a difference led her to the UK, where she continued her career at Caremark Barking and Dagenham. Nitu consistently shows compassion and professionalism in her work.
One client, placed on the NHS fast-track pathway for end-of-life care, had a limited prognosis. However, with care from Nitu and Sarmanjeet, the client’s health improved significantly. The family expressed deep gratitude, stating that without their care, their loved one might not still be with them.
The bond they’ve built with the client is remarkable. In a touching gesture, the client often wears a t-shirt with Nitu and Sarmanjeet’s names written in bold red permanent marker. This act reflects the trust and admiration the client has for both carers.
Sarmanjeet: A Compassionate Carer Who Goes Above and Beyond
Sarmanjeet began her career as a teacher in India but transitioned to care due to her empathy and desire to help others. Since joining Caremark, she has built a strong reputation for professionalism, kindness, and reliability.
Like Nitu, she has worked with a client on the NHS fast-track pathway. Together, they improved the client’s health and provided much-needed emotional support. This exceptional teamwork brought comfort and peace of mind during a challenging time. The client’s family deeply appreciates her care and considers her an integral part of their lives.
