Bangor Business Award Winners

Last night, we attended the Bangor Business Awards and, after being finalists in three categories, we are delighted to have won two awards – Employer of the Year and Wellbeing in the Workplace!

We are thrilled to have won Employer of the Year for the second year running! As a company, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile to provide a happy and fulfilling work environment for our staff. We love seeing our staff develop and progress in their careers through the Caremark Care Academy ,with many of our senior staff having begun their careers with us as Care Assistants. We offer staff flexible working patterns, allowing employees to work around childcare and other commitments. We encourage healthy lifestyles within our workforce, offering corporate gym membership and health incentives. This year, we have had multiple staff events, including our wonderful 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations and Awards, rewarding staff for the outstanding service they provide to our clients. On top of this, we have held staff lunches, team building events and we are planning to hold further events and celebrations on the runup to Christmas. And, leaving the best to last, our best boy and wellbeing dog, Prince!

Here at Caremark NI, we are passionate about looking after our people through our enhanced wellbeing programme, including a wellbeing manager and three mental health champions, fully trained in Mental Health First Aid. Staff are encouraged to take care of their mental and encouraged to contact us for wellbeing support when required. We support new staff wellbeing through our fantastic Mentoring Programme, pairing inexperienced staff up with a mentor who will support them through their first weeks as a Caremark Care Assistant.
