We are proud to unveil Karamo Jarju was one of the remarkable finalists for the highly anticipated national award, ‘The Incredibles’ Care Assistant.
The ten outstanding individuals have been distinguished from a competitive pool of over 5,000 incredible care assistants from across the UK – each selected for their unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others. Jarju’s story of unparalleled compassion and empathy sets him apart. As a trained teacher, Jarju draws on his skills to enhance the lives of the children and young people within his role of a Care Assistant.
Jarju’s Incredible Care Work
Jarju’s exceptional kindness and empathy with a non-verbal individual, dramatically helped this person’s frustrations with communication. This Caremark customer was previously known to have physical outbursts that would put him, and others around him, at risk of being hurt. With Jarju’s ability to quickly build trust, he helped the person to feel connected, secure, and comforted. A heart-warming bond between the pair blossomed and enabled a complete transformation in the young person’s behaviour.
This ability to connect with people who face communication barriers, coupled with consistent dedication to his customers, has rightfully earned Jarju a place amongst the ten ‘Incredibles’ care finalists.

The Incredibles Event
Caremark hosted the luxurious event at the prestigious Fortnum & Mason in London on 17 November 2023. All ten finalists enjoyed this exclusive experience at one of London’s most iconic venues. The event promised an afternoon of drinks and networking, followed by a lavish afternoon tea and recognition for each finalist’s achievements.
A big congratulations to all the nominees and winner, Debra Watson. All finalists deserved the award for their hard work and dedication they have shown towards their respective Caremark branches and customers.
