We held another training session this week to ensure our Carers are equipped to deliver exceptional care, during the training Joy told us how she has helped a new customer who hadn’t received care and support before..

“I supported a new customer with his first ever care visit this week. He was SO nervous, and having a carer there really knocked his confidence. At the end of the visit, he asked if the visit was harder than I was used to, and if I would be happy to come back again. I reassured him that of course I was more than happy to come back and support however he needed me to! Once he was settled, his wife then asked me what care involved, as it was all new to her to. I explained that I could help not only with personal care, but also with meal preparation, domestic, companionship and more, meaning she can have a bit more of a break when the carer is there.

When I went in the next morning, it was so heartwarming to be told how at ease I had made both the customer and his wife feel, and to be thanked for the work I had done the previous day.”
