Loneliness in older people is a common issue that can have significant impacts on their physical and mental well-being. In Gloucestershire, like many other areas, older individuals can experience loneliness due to factors such as isolation, loss of friends or family members, health issues that limit their social interactions, lack of transportation, or living alone.
Come along, have a natter, maybe make some new friends in your local area.
Caremark aims to support the communities that we serve and help combat loneliness later in life.
We will also have information available if you are interested in working in the care sector.

It is important for family members, friends, neighbours, and community members to be aware of the issue of loneliness amongst older people and take steps to support and engage with them. Simple gestures like regular check-ins, visits, phone calls, or inviting them to social gatherings can make a big difference in combating loneliness and improving their quality of life.
You may not know it, but we offer many solutions including a remote care service. Connecting you to your care team, family and friends. https://www.caremark.co.uk/remote-care/
