Care is in her DNA

Blessing Ominil says care is in her “DNA” and if you ask any of the customers she supports, they certainly wouldn’t disagree!
Going above and beyond in her work is something Blessing does each and every day, whether it’s the meticulous notes she makes after each customer call and once even calling from her native Nigeria to check on the Care Assistant who was covering her calls whilst she was away!
Before coming to the UK, Blessing worked in microbiology as a Phlebotomist, taking blood samples from people in a hospital in Nigeria.
She also has two business-related Masters’ degrees and a thirst for adventure and new experiences, which brought her, fortunately to Caremark Doncaster’s door.
“I am always seeking to improve myself and I love to acquire more knowledge and give something back and I viewed this as a great opportunity for me,” says Blessing.
“We are also very family-oriented in Nigeria and we have a duty of care to look after the elderly so it is something I am used to.
“Care is in my blood and whole DNA putting smiles on people’s faces is paramount to me.”
Blessing says she had no problem adapting to life in the UK, with not even the weather getting in the way of her mission to provide the absolute best care to our customers.
“I have family in London which made the settling in process easier and I received great training as well,” she adds.
“My name is always an ice breaker so that helps but all my customers are lovely and they bring me lots of joy.
“This job is a dream come true for me!”
When she’s not working, sporty Blessing enjoys playing tennis and visiting her family. She also continues to learn and study and is currently working towards her Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
