People living with dementia in the area will have a chance to enjoy a fun evening at a dinner dance later this month.
On Wednesday 27 November, Dementia Concern will host a Winter Dance. Meanwhile, Zurich Community Trust will sponsor the event. It will take place at the Olympic Pavilion of Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing. Furthermore, the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Yvonne Johnson, will attend.
The evening aims to provide people with dementia and their carers a chance to relax and have fun. From 7 pm to 9 pm, attendees can enjoy food, music, and a strong sense of community.
Dementia Concern, which is based in Ealing, supported 1,498 people with dementia and 1,021 carers last year. Specifically, their work includes partnerships with GPs and NHS networks. They also offer advisors, support for those who live alone, and social clubs.
In addition, the charity’s carers and volunteers provide practical help and care services. Overall, they aim to help people with dementia live as independently as possible.
