GenieLite enjoyed her first exercise class
As well as our usual attendees at our free chair based exercise class last week, GenieLite also made her first appearance.
We received some new visitors from Leckhampton Surgery, part of the Cheltenham Peripheral PCN. They discovered the event through social media – proof that our outreach efforts are working! They had particular interest in learning more about the GenieLite. GenieLite is an innovative robotic companion designed to support individuals in their older years.
Looking ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be a significant year for Caremark Cheltenham and Gloucester, as we expand our care services to include Remote Care. As part of this initiative, Caremark has invested in a small number of GenieLite companions. We are currently seeking volunteers to trial them for two months – completely free and with no strings attached!
In addition to embracing new technology, Caremark is committed to promoting independence, fitness, and overall well-being for our customers. With Jo Folkes leading the way, our care services will now incorporate mobility and strength assessments. These will form part of the initial evaluation. Where appropriate, we will offer customers a reablement service tailored to their needs. Thus ensuring they stay as fit and independent as possible. These assessments are reviewed regularly and adapted as needed to accommodate any changes.

At Caremark, our goal is simple: to empower our customers so they can maintain their independence for as long as possible. Thus ensuring that, in many cases, they won’t even need our care services!
