Care Assistant of the Month July 2023

This July, we are delighted to shine a spotlight on Yaswine from Caremark Sutton, our Care Assistant of the Month. Yaswine’s journey from a grateful son to a dedicated care assistant is truly remarkable, exemplifying the boundless impact of human kindness and the power of sponsorship in the caregiving community.

Yaswine’s nomination tells an extraordinary tale of compassion and reciprocity. It all began when Daren’s father, care manager at Sutton, needed care in Mauritius. It was there that Daren witnessed the remarkable dedication and care provided by Yaswine, the care assistant who would later become part of the Caremark Sutton team. Daren’s father, under Yaswine’s watchful eye, found comfort, happiness, and compassionate care until the very end of his life.

Providing Care from Mauritius to the UK

Touched by the profound impact Yaswine had on his father’s well-being, Daren was inspired to extend his gratitude beyond words. He saw in Yaswine not just a care assistant, but a genuine beacon of hope and care. Daren believed that Yaswine’s incredible qualities should not be confined to Mauritius but shared with the community in Sutton and Epsom, where his expertise and warmth would undoubtedly make a difference.

Daren’s decision to sponsor Yaswine is a heartwarming example of how personal connections and genuine admiration can lead to incredible opportunities for individuals who have the power to make a difference in the lives of others.

“This person was my father’s care assistant in Mauritius,” Daren recalls in his nomination. “When I went to see my father last year, I was very impressed by how compassionate and caring he was, and my father was very happy. He looked after my father amazingly well until the end of his life. Sooner after, I thought he would be a great care assistant for Caremark, and we sponsored him. The team feels this was the best thing we ever did.”

Yaswine’s dedication to his work is not limited to scheduled shifts. He embodies the spirit of a true caregiver, always ready to go the extra mile. Daren highlights Yaswine’s unwavering commitment, stating, “Whenever we ask him to help cover calls, he never says no. Even on his days off, he goes above and beyond to support the business. He has even come to the office to help out, clearing some of our PPE.”

Yaswine is described by the team at Caremark Sutton as charming, sweet, possessing a great sense of humor, and above all, profoundly compassionate toward their clients. His presence has not only enriched the lives of the people he cares for but has also contributed to the growth and strength of the Caremark Sutton community.
