His beloved wife

Kelvin Cheetham is still, understandably, coming to terms with the death of his beloved wife Charlese with whom he spent 15 very happy years.
Charlese passed away in January 2024 of kidney failure, leaving Kelvin by himself in their home which holds so many nice memories for him.
Until she passed, Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield provided care for Charlese, visiting her four times a day to provide support, because as well as her kidney problems, she also struggled with her mobility due to issues with her spine and knees.
We are now also supporting Kelvin, visiting him twice a week to help with his cleaning, laundry and providing some companionship whilst he continues to grieve for Charlese.
This is enabling him to remain in the home where he is surrounded by photographs of Charlese and the good times they had together.
“We actually met in hospital which was a bit different than how you normally meet your partner, but we became inseparable,” says Kelvin.
“We did lots of nice things together like going on cruises, having meals out and taking trips to places like Sherwood Forest.
“Charlese was only 70 when she died but the pain had become too much for her, so she asked to be taken off dialysis.
“It’s difficult knowing she is no longer here but I make sure I talk to her every time I get up and when I go to bed so she knows I am ok.
“The care she received from Caremark was very good and we looked forward to the carers coming in each day. They treated her with dignity and made sure she was as comfortable as possible.
“It’s still the same now when they visit me. They really help me, and I can’t speak highly enough about how good they all are.”
