Social care management qualification

Our Care Manager Chloe Holmes has added a further string to her bow by successfully completing a nationally recognised adult social care management qualification.
Chloe achieved a Distinction in her Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care following the end of her 14 month course.
This qualification was specifically developed for those managing an adult social care service, including the role of registered manager, and it requires learners to demonstrate an in-depth understanding and effective practice in leadership and management for adult care services.
As part of the qualification, Chloe was observed leading a meeting of her peers where she engaged in discussions surrounding present organisational practices and processes, what changes may be presented in those areas and the systems that you are in place.
She also underwent a question and answer session and a professional discussion where she was able to demonstrate her knowledge and understanding in both a practical and theoretical sense.
Her assessor noted: “Throughout the observation, you showed confidence and passion for your role and ensuring high-quality person-centred care and support are delivered, but also your clear passion and drive for your colleagues and the service to succeed.
“You demonstrated great self-awareness in the mindset of your qualities that make you the leader you are and your life experiences that shaped this.
“Being able to draw from your characteristics and experiences has allowed you to enable yourself and the team to work in an effective and well-led manner.”
Chloe, who joined Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield as a Field Care Supervisor in 2020 and became our Care Manager in 2024, said: “I am delighted to have completed my Level 5 and to have passed with a Distinction.
“Throughout my time at Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield, I have always pushed myself to learn and achieve more as part of my professional development and have received fantastic support from the owners, Jo and Simon Ford, who have shown tremendous faith in me.”
Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield Managing Director Simon Ford said: “Jo and myself couldn’t be happier with what Chloe has achieved and we would like to congratulate her on her latest achievement.
“Chloe is involved in all aspects of our business and is one of the main reasons for the company’s successful growth over the last 18 months.
“She has helped to make Caremark the ‘go to’ homecare company in the area and if you could bottle the perfect Care Manager, Chloe would be it!”
