Working in partnership

Caremark Mansfield and Ashfield is working in partnership with Vision West Nottinghamshire College to encourage more young people to pursue a career in adult social care.
As part of this, students from the college will be gaining hands-on experience in the coming months by helping out at our monthly community-based initiative called Coffee Club.
This brings customers together in a social setting to take part in activities and is particularly aimed at those living on their own and at risk of becoming socially isolated.
The partnership with the college has also resulted in the setting up of a group called the Adult Social Care Board.
Chaired by Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield Managing Director Simon Ford, the Board consists of representatives from the college, domiciliary care providers, Mansfield District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, local MPs and other interested parties.
The aim is to grow awareness of the career opportunities available for people in adult and social care in our area.
Simon said: “We’re pleased to be working with Vision West Nottinghamshire College to provide placements for current students but also to be looking at the bigger picture, via the Adult Social Care Board, and looking at ways of encouraging even more people to come and work in our industry.”
