On Friday 17^th November, two of our care assistants attended an event called “The Incredibles”. Caremark Ltd organised the event to recognize 10 incredible care assistants across the whole Caremark network of 120 offices. Two of our incredible care assistants were shortlisted as finalists Debra Watson and Pavandeep Sandhu, out of 5,000 care assistants from across the network.

Caremark hosted a special event for the finalists, care managers and franchise owners at the iconic Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly. Our Registered Care Manager, Abbie Ellis and Field Care Manager, Lisa York, also attended. Guests enjoyed afternoon tea, plaques and gifts as a token of appreciation. Throughout the afternoon, Caremark shared inspirational stories of each of the finalists, highlighting why each of them is so special.

Debra Wins Incredibles 2023 award from 5000 carers

Towards the end of the afternoon, the joint CEO’s of Caremark, Lisa Fyfe and David Glover announced that Debra Watson on ‘The Incredibles’ 2023. According to Caremark, Debra  “embodies the very essence of what a care assistant should be. She takes immense pride in her work and genuinely cares about each of her customers”. Debra has been in care for over 20 years, and she brings her enthusiasm, energy and commitment to each person every single day. Debra’s attention to detail is exceptional and she is able to identify health concerns, take action quickly and build positive relationships that allow her to make a significant difference to our customers’ lives.

Pav shortlisted amongst 5000 care assistants

We are also extremely proud of  our other finalist Pavandeep Sandhu, from our Dartford & Gravesham branch. Pav is an incredible care assistant and actually won Care Assistant of the Year at the Kent Care Awards 2022. She is a positive and outgoing person who enjoys seeing individuals better themselves. Pav is passionate about helping customers with the nutritional needs and enjoys supporting individuals to be more independent in their day-to-day lives.

We are grateful to Caremark for organising such a wonderful event and for recognising care assistants on a national platform.
