Keeping it in the family

The phrase ‘keeping it in the family’ is never more apt than when it comes working for Caremark Redcar and Cleveland.
It’s one of the reasons why we refer to our Caremark family.
There are numerous examples of staff working for us who are related to each other, whether that’s mums and daughters, sisters, or cousins.
Just a couple of examples are:
Paula, Paige and Michelle Wild.
Paula was the first family member to join us, 11 years ago. She was followed by her niece Paige who has been with us for 4 years, and then Paula’s sister (and Paige’s mum) Michelle came on board two years ago.
In Paige’s case, she said she saw what an impact Paula was having on people’s lives and decided this was also the career for her.
Michelle followed for similar reasons and says: “I am so glad I did because there’s nothing better than putting smiles on people’s faces when you go into their homes.”
Paula says she is delighted that Paige and Michelle decided to join her at Caremark.
“I told them it was a fantastic job, and that Caremark are the best company to work for – care definitely runs in our family!”

Sisters Aimee Venis and Katy Southward are also keeping it in the family.
Both are fairly new to care, having both joined Caremark within the last two years, but they are enjoying being carers.
Aimee says: “After having time off, I always look forward to coming back to work and seeing my customers, so I think that says it all.”
And Katy echoes that, adding: “It doesn’t feel like I have been to work at the end of a shift.”
Other examples of staff keeping it in the family are:
Michelle Jackson (Caremark MD) and her son Cobey, sister Kim and in-laws Lexi and Sophie (Admin and Carers)
Debbie Delaney and her daughters Gemma and Beckie (all Carers).
Vicky Nugent and her daughter Kirsty (both Carers)
Jo Cairnes (Assistant Manager) and her daughter Emily (Training Coordinator)
Gillian Hurst (Assessment Coordinator) and her sister Tracy Sampson (Care Coordinators)
Twins Jasmine and Amber Grey (Field Care Supervisors)
