Very festive

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland came up with a very festive way of thanking all our staff for their hard work and support helping customers in 2024.

We hired a flat-bed truck and wrapped it in festive decorations before taking it around the area to meet and give out presents to children whose mums and dads work for us.

Father Christmas took time out from his busy schedule to hand out the gifts, with able support from his elves, including Caremark Redcar and Cleveland Managing Director Michelle Jackson.

The Caremark Pets as Therapy dogs also lent a paw or two.

Over just a few days, the team visited 21 locations across Redcar and Cleveland to ensure no-one missed out.

Michelle said: “We wanted to do something special to mark the end of the year so we came up with the idea of creating a mobile Santa van which would enable us to tour the area and hand out gifts to the children whose parents work for Caremark.

“It was our little way of thanking them for sharing their mummy or daddy with our Caremark family, and it was lovely to see the smiles on everyone’s faces when we pulled up.

“As a company, we are always looking at new ways of engaging and recognising staff, and ultimately letting them know how grateful we are for their hard work and dedication.”

The mobile Santa van also visited Caremark’s activity-based Safe Place community centre at Redcar Rugby Club so the adults who attend could also meet Father Christmas.

“It was a fabulous way of celebrating our year and involving our staff, customers and their families,” says Michelle.
