Charles Folkes

Chairman

Charles opened Caremark Redcar & Cleveland in 2008, with the vision to become the best provider of home care in the region. The focus is on delivering the highest quality of care possible in order to improve the quality of life for the people Caremark Redcar & Cleveland supports.

Michelle Jackson

Managing Director

Michelle originally joined Caremark Redcar and Cleveland as a Care Assistant and then Compliance Coordinator, before being promoted to the role of Care Coordinator and Care Manager. As Managing Director she has played an instrumental role in advocating for a better deal for carers nationally, on TV and radio, as well as introducing our Therapy Dog service which is making a tremendous difference to the lives of so many people in our communities.

Danielle Laverick

Care Manager

Danielle has worked in care for over 15 years and joined Caremark as a Care Assistant in 2010. She was soon promoted to Field Care Supervisor and Care Plan Coordinator, and then Assistant Manager. In 2021, she was promoted to the position of Care Manager, giving her responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the company.

Jo Cairnes

Assistant Manager

Jo has worked in care for over ten years and joined Caremark as a Care Assistant in 2012 before being promoted to Field Care Supervisor. In her current role as Assistant Manager, she provides valuable supports to our Care Manager Danielle.

Gemma Dixon

Care Co-ordinator

Gemma is a Care Coordinator covering the Redcar East area. She has worked in care for over ten years joined Caremark as a Care Assistant in 2014. She then became a Field Care Supervisor and Medication Assessor before taking on her current role.

Elle Powell

Care Co-ordinator

Elle is a Care Coordinator covering East Cleveland. She has worked in care for almost 20 years and joined Caremark in 2014. Her role, which covers the rural towns and villages in East Cleveland, includes drawing up the staff rotas to ensure all customer visits are allocated.

Tracey Sampson

Care Co-ordinator

Tracey is a Care Coordinator covering the Redcar area. She has worked in care for over ten years and joined Caremark as a Coordinator in 2018, covering our busiest customer area.

Sadie Dowson

Care Coordinator

Sadie Dowson is a Care Coordinator for the Guisborough area. She started as a Care Assistant and was quickly promoted to Senior Care Assistant and Field Care Supervisor before taking on her current role.

Kelly Richardson

Care Coordinator

Kelly is a Care Coordinator covering the Guisborough and Eston area. She joined Caremark as a carer in November 2017, displaying excellent care skills and subsequently being promoted to the position of Field Care Supervisor before taking on her current role.

Emma Crane

Redcar Area Manager

Emma is an Area Manager covering our largest customer area of Redcar. She joined Caremark as a carer in 2018 and then was promoted to the position of Field Care Supervisor. Her current role involves everything from supporting the Field Care Supervisors and ensuring care plans are being delivered correctly through to carrying out observations and also overseeing our supported living schemes in Redcar.

Julie Clerihew

Field Care Supervisor

Julie joined Caremark as a Care Assistant in 2023 before moving to work on our Rapid Response Team. She was promoted to the position of Field Care Supervisor for the Guisborough area in 2024.

Linda Teasdale

East Cleveland Area Manager

Linda started at Caremark as a carer in July 2017. A very popular carer who is very dedicated to her role and ensuring her customers always had the best care, Linda worked with many new carers to show them the ropes. She was encouraged to apply for the role of Field Care Supervisor for East Cleveland and was successful and now covers the same patch as an Area Manager.

Gaynor Spence

Recruitment Officer

Gaynor joined Caremark in 2012, making her one of our longest serving members of staff. She has performed a number of roles over the years, before taking on her current important position as Recruitment Officer, ensuring we continue to attract people into homecare careers with Caremark.

Janet Morgan

Training Manager

Janet joined Caremark Redcar and Cleveland as Field Care Supervisor in 2011. A qualified Occupational Therapist, Janet became our Training Manager in 2013 and now trains all new staff when they join Caremark, as well as providing ongoing training to all staff.

Kelly Brearley

Training Officer

Kelly started working for Caremark in 2014 following an 18-year career as a nurse. She has worked in a number of roles before taking on the current position as Training Officer where she uses her nursing and homecare experience to help train new and current members of staff.

Emily Drury

Training Coordinator

Emily first joined Caremark Redcar and Cleveland as an Administration Assistant. She is now our Training Coordinator but also helps out in lots of other ways at our head office.

Gillian Hurst

Assessment Coordinator

Gillian originally joined Caremark as a Care Assistant and worked her way up to the role of Care Coordinator, before taking on her current role which involves working with partner agencies to ensure the right support package is in place for customers

Yvonne Jones

Care Planning Coordinator

Yvonne has worked in care for over ten years and joined Caremark as a Carer in 2014. As our Care Planning Coordinator she plays an important role writing all of our customers’ care plans, as well as supporting in other areas, including finance.
