‘AMAZING people do AMAZING things’
We value our staff and are continually humbled by the difference they make to our clients- each quarter our team nominate the staff who’ve made a huge difference- their feedback is often as a result of client comments, or based on observations they have made while they monitor our service..
In the Spot-Light and nominated this season are….
“Fiona – for going above and beyond during a weekend when AJ was suddenly rushed to hospital due to a medical emergency, Fiona offered support on her day off to look after MJ and offered to work extra early to get MJ washed & ready for hospital appointments the week after. This made sure MJ still had an element of daily life, even when her parents were dealing with a difficult situation. Fiona enabled parents to stay at the hospital with AJ confident that MJ was safely being supported at home, they are both very grateful for the help.”

“Chloe for all the support that she has given to new staff especially in clinical packages. Chloe has supported staff on their shadowing and training days, enabling them to build their confidence in becoming clinically trained. Chloe has also shown flexibility and adapted to fit around the needs of the service whenever it has been asked of her.”
“Jack has taken it in his stride joining Caremark and building professional relationships with his clients and families. He has taken on board all training and guidance given to him from the team in becoming competent in his role supporting HR with his tracheostomy care needs.”

“Ahmed for his continued support with RD, helping with home schooling alongside mum, to build his confidence to access the community, supporting him to create his own garden space and learn how to grow veg and fruit (inspired by the Caremark allotment!). R has learnt survival skills within a safe environment and progressed so much. Mum is now able to go out with confidence that R is happy and safe with Ahmeds support.“
“Nero is a ray of sunshine, bringing happiness into the lives of others, Nero is polite, courteous and kind to everyone around him. He has built some amazing relationships with our clients including RN, DE, JW and DW and has had positive feedback from all families.”

Busayo has done such a good job getting stuck in and proactively learning lots of complicated clinical skills both at the hospital with MN helping her get discharged quickly, and at school with JC. He had some great feedback from the hospital and from schools too whilst with clients, representing our team so well.
As always, some tremendous reasons for each nomination, we are so proud of the brilliant work that our amazing support workers do each day. We have decided that the overall winner of the Summer HALO Award is Fiona, stepping up in a real time of crisis and ensuring parents were afforded the time to concentrate on AJ, in the knowledge that MJ was safe and well and with someone who knew and cared for her.
Wow- Well done and keep up the amazing work!
