Jade is now an officially qualified Level 3 Mental Health First Aider!

We are delighted to share that our Welfare and Wellbeing Officer, Jade Gibson, is now officially qualified as our Level 3 Mental Health First Aider.
Jade joined our Caremark family in 2016, she began her journey with us as a Care Coordinator. Jade gained great knowledge supporting our clients who have complex and sometimes clinical conditions- working closely with our staff, management team, our customers’ circles of support and professionals on a daily basis. As our service grew and our client and staff base increased, we saw an opportunity for a new role to develop within our service. We wanted one designated person supporting our clients and staff welfare, day in, day out. This is where the Welfare and Wellbeing Officer position was born, Jade transitioned into this role which she was delighted to undertake and 12 months on, Jade has been an excellent support network to our teams, she has been present within her role to offer high quality support, guidance and advice to our clients and our support workers. Jade understands the often complex dynamics and nature of the support we provide and recognises that sometimes, a person may need signposting to a professional organisation who specialise in this field.
Jade understands the importance of clear and consistent communication between all parties. Jade started off her career in care as a Care and Support Worker, meaning she has been in the shoes of a hard-working, dedicated care givers, making it that bit easier to understand and empathise with our Support Workers and believes in guiding and supporting our team and Clients to be the very best they can be – we feel the role of Welfare Officer helps us continue the positive progress we have already made.
Jade stays in regular contact with our Clients and Support Workers to offer advice, support and guidance, whilst also being involved with our new Care Staff getting on board with our organisation throughout their; recruitment journey, initial training, starting work and building on their professional development. Alongside Jade, our staff and customers will continue to feel and see the support in the community from our Senior Support Workers (Chloe & Vickie), our Case Leaders (Kirsty, Sophie & Lydia) and our Clinical Lead (Louise & Charlotte). Jade has great energy and positivity, she understands and embraces our vision and our values – we look forward to working with Jade in the future as she is an excellent contributor to our Team and is a great ambassador for us too.
