Training with a side of Pizza!
‘On the 8th of April, we hosted a training day in our office for one of our clients, CG. Six of CG’s wonderful Support Workers joined our Clinical Leads, Louise and Lizzie, and CG, to deliver a client-specific training session. CG assisted our nurses to teach and refresh the team on her clinical needs, including ventilation, cough assist and chest physio. The team were able to practice using CG’s cough assist machine and they performed expiratory shakes, also known as ‘jelly wobbles’ on each other. CG assessed the team and provided feedback on their ability to perform jelly wobbles. This session was extremely beneficial for our Clinical Leads to observe, train, and assess their clinical knowledge in a supportive and engaging environment. It also provided an excellent opportunity for CG to be actively involved in ensuring her team are not only well-trained but fully aligned with her expectations and needs. The day was both productive and fun. It was great to see CG and her team learning and socialising, all while enjoying some well-deserved pizza and good company.
