Turning Empty Chocolate Tubs into Hope at Food Banks

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! Caremark Solihull is teaming up with Ryan, the visionary founder of We Can CIC, and Joy from Anawim Birmingham’s Centre for Women to launch the Hunger Games Initiative. This inspiring project combines sustainability and community care, proving that small actions can lead to monumental changes including food banks.
What Is the Hunger Games Initiative?
It’s as simple as it is impactful. The initiative encourages people to recycle their empty chocolate tubs, which are often overlooked as recyclable items, and transform them into a force for good. Here’s how it works:
- Step 1: Donate Your Empty Tubs
Drop off your empty chocolate tubs at our Caremark Solihull office in Shirley, or if you’re local, we can arrange to collect them directly from you. - Step 2: Recycle Responsibly
All collected tubs will be recycled, promoting healthier recycling habits in our community. - Step 3: Support Food Banks
The proceeds from recycling these tubs will be used to purchase food for local food banks, directly helping those in need.
Why Support Food Banks
This initiative is about more than just recycling. It’s about creating a cleaner environment while addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity in our community. Every tub you donate helps reduce waste and provides vital resources for families and individuals who are struggling. Together, we can make a difference—one tub at a time.
Join the Movement
We’re calling on our amazing Solihull community to step up and take part. By working together, Caremark Solihull, We Can CIC, and Anawim aim to foster a cleaner, kinder, and more connected community. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to these goals.
So, what are you waiting for? Raid your cupboards, gather those empty tubs, and help us turn them into something truly meaningful. Whether you drop them off or let us collect them, you’re making a choice that positively impacts the lives of others.
A Big Thank You!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ryan from We Can CIC and Joy from Anawim for their passionate involvement in this project. Their dedication to creating positive change is an inspiration to us all. Together, we’re proving that collaboration and community spirit can tackle some of society’s biggest challenges.
Let’s Get Started!
Recycling your chocolate tubs may seem like a small act, but it has the power to create a ripple effect of hope and kindness. Let’s join hands to reduce waste, support our food banks, and ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
