Best medium business

Caremark Wakefield has been named winner of the best medium business award at the recent Caremark national conference, beating off competition from dozens of other similar-sized franchises.
The award recognises the growth and success of the company over the last 12 months.
Representatives from over 100 Caremark franchises from across the UK and Ireland attended the recent national conference, which aims to celebrate achievement and share best practice.
Caremark Wakefield, which employs 30 people and delivers over 1,000 hours of care each week, was singled out for growing turnover by over 50% in the year, including increasing the number of privately funded customers. The company also provides care for people funded by Wakefield Council.
The judges said: “Managing Director Julie Oommen has truly focused her efforts over the last two years to build a business based on quality and compliance.
“Her efforts are coming to fruition as the business is showing excellent and consistent growth and with a dedication to staff retention, it is set to remain very strong.”
Caremark Wakefield Managing Director Julie Oommen said: “I accepted the actual award on the evening, but it was done so on behalf of the whole team at Caremark Wakefield.
“Their professionalism and dedication is second to none so the award is testament to the hard work and effort they put in each and every day to ensure people living in Wakefield and surrounding areas can remain living safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes.”
