Caremark Planted Trees to Honour Covid Losses
A commemorative woodland is set to be planted in Wokingham Borough to honour those who lost their lives during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

The council plan to plant over 6,700 trees across this 7.7-hectares site by California Country Park in Finchampstead, Wokingham. The woodland will feature a mix of British and UK-sourced and grown stock, consisting of 17 different species suitable for the site conditions, including field maple, hornbeam, hazel, holly, wild cherry, and English oak, among others.
To help and assist, Wokingham Borough Council have asked members of the borough for their time to plant trees and remember any loved ones lost during COVID-19.
Alison, Amanpreet, Ieva, Linda and Morris from Caremark (Wokingham and Bracknell) were happy to help and spent some time on Thursday in the sun planting over 10 trees at the new site.
Well done ladies! We all look forward to seeing those trees blossom for many years to come!
